Andy Irons, passed away two year ago. RIP. One of our favorite surfers of all time. He surfed with heart and became an original, and a true legend. One of our most memorable memories of him, was during the Rip Curl Search Pro in Arica, Chile. Sea Urchin laden slab of a wave that was probably one of the most challenging waves ever for an ASP event. Guess who won? Yep. Andy Irons. He would do that sort of thing. Preform and surf with such skill and mastery, as if the ocean and him belonged. As if he belonged to the ocean. Maybe that is exactly what it was. He will always be remembered and we’ll always send best wishes to his family in Hawai’i. RIP Andy. You will always be missed.
